Yeah I like the colors for the moment. The line is um...part of my "edge" haha. The arrows just show where i bought and sold

Fought with RTY a little bit, trying to get short

Shifted over to MNQ and was able to get short and add on. Took profits on that strong push down as it looked like potential support forming across those lows and with ES chopping/out of sync with NQ and RTY it seemed reasonable.

Thank you for your time and comment, I definitely appreciate the feedback, that's why I'm here.

I agree with you, that bearish lower high was the superior entry. I had a sense I was late. And what you said about hesitation is definitely true, and something I am focused on improving.

chopped up pretty bad on a second attempt to short MNQ:

Long on MES. Started out poorly because I tried to fade the top of the range with no real evidence. Zoomed out and remembered the weak test of 4300 yesterday, the morning chop, and the flush lower right before the rally started. Got long while price was retesting the top of the range/4300. Was just trailing my stops, trying to allow for the possibility of a grind up to 4320.

My entries weren't very efficient, need to limit my re-entries in chop. A behavior I am trying to reign in is the tendency to be overly cautious early in the day when momentum is present, and then realizing that and trying to correct myself/catch up to where I think I "should" be by getting more aggressive between 10am and noon when the volume tends to lighten up and momentum shifts. Also, I am not a big fan of taking partial profits or using "runners", but I did it in that last long position, because I was sensitive to the fact that I was in a drawdown for the session going into that trade. I wanted to at least do something to reduce the risk for the day.

After that, you have to ask yourself :

will NQ continue its downward journey
or
will NQ reverse direction and go up?

When you shorted NQ, the upforce momentum was still
strong.

2. also, you did not notice that when you shorted NQ,
all US index futures (ES YM NQ RTY) & other index futures like DAX .... were going up together.

ok yup I see that. And yeah, I had the general impression from earlier in the session that ES was ranging and RTY and NQ were moving down. But in that actual moment of the trade, I didn't have sight of what they were doing precisely.

Only took 2 trades today, a quick bounce off the early range in MES and a quick short in M2K.

Snapped a 7 day winning streak today. Definitely knew price was chopping around the middle of the overnight range, but still fought it way too much.

Got this long going on MYM, had the thought of letting it trail but was a bit weak handed due to the earlier losses.

Working on getting in earlier and avoiding being late. Took a few losses to get into position, was being a little too early/sloppy. Once I felt I was in, I added on and rode it up to the equal highs. Tried to jump back in with a 1 lot as I felt I hadn't given it enough of a chance to really run stops but ended up exiting because I realized I was getting impulsive again.
