Joni Ernst says she was raped...

Maybe she should press charges against the person who supposedly raped her, and let the court decide in a case. I'm old fashioned, but I like to follow the "innocent until proven guilty" philosophy.
So, you don’t believe Joni Ernst. Ok.
How can I say either way unless I have some factual information? I'm not a liberal, so you'll have to forgive me if my emotions don't make all the decisions in my life and I prefer facts and logic whenever possible.
You dont distinquish between someone saying I was raped versus I was raped and it was XYZ.

I dont know anything about what Joni Ernst said. If she said she was raped then I have no reason to challenge that. If she says it was Bill Barr and names four witnesses who were there and all four say they were not. Well, that becomes another matter doesnt it?

Good. Let’s press all of the women who come forward then until we make it even more uncomfortable for them.
We should make it easier for women to present their assertion if their is probable cause. Their needs to be evidence though and that evidence needs to hold up. Witnesses need to need to be interviewed and they need to say things that corroborate what the accuser says particuarly if the witnesses were identified as being their by the accuser. Yup, we need to take accusations seriously but that does not automatically make them true.
And some accusers, such as Swetnick need to go to jail. That's part of taking accusations seriously too and ditto for the other one, can't remember her name. The one who withdrew her charge, said that it never happened, and she was just angry at Trump. Couple sips of coffee and I will remember. I would take her accusation very seriously and put her before a jury, where she is the defendant.

Based on the complete lack of evidence being presented at the current time, no, I don't believe her. Might as well be saying she was abducted by aliens.

Can she provide consistent evidence backed by others about the event and when/where it happened? Or will others close to the situation at the time say her assertions are complete nonsense?
Without supporting evidence from others --- all of these decade old allegations are merely she said / he said situations that cannot be proven and will never hold up in court.
