Jon Corzine is Considering Starting A Hedge Fund

Quote from zboy2854A:

Or in Iran he probably would have been executed...

Those Iranians ain't all bad it seems.

OMG, this is rich! Get a load of Erik Holder, he hasn't prosecuted anyone.
"I agree with them both," said Attorney General Eric Holder. "The way I interpret it, it's textbook treason. A small group of individuals acted out of self interest and ruined the economy. Just like what happened here a couple of years ago with Wall Street executives. Intentionally sabotaging the ability of a country to operate, to support its citizens and to defend itself is treason. Iran punished its malefactors properly. What did we do? We made sure the traitors got billions in bonuses, and we pulled that money right out of the wallets of middle-class taxpayers.

In a related story, Corzine said he expected between $800m and $1.6B in initial funds. He would not comment on the source of the funds... :-)

Maybe the Congressmen he lied to under oath? That's always a nice place to start, along with Holder's old law firm.

Quote from Grandluxe:

I think if Obama loses, then the case can be re-opened and Corzine prosecuted. Right now it is impossible, he is protected by the highest levels of govt and is untouchable.
That pretty much covers it.

Quote from billyjoerob:

I think in most cases like this the DOJ or SEC or CFTC don't go through with the prosecution because it would make the regulators look bad. Why wasn't Lehman or the Lehman officers prosecuted? Because the regulators were on site, looking at the books, approving the shady deals. They would have to be implicated too. Likewise with MFG, the regulators are probably just as guilty of negligence as Corzine is of malfeasance. Nobody cares about his rinky dink campaign contributions.

Wake up - the "regulators" are only there to give you the impression of safety and to stop the small time scammers. When it comes to what is good for the big players the "regulators" don't do a damn thing. If you can't see that after watching the market for a few years you'd better stop trading.
