Moving my trading business over to Tradovate.

they clear through Phillps/Dorman

Stats included in cloud platform

cheaper comm options in the future

no limit margin requirement..(we'll see about this)

a gamblers dream haha...accounts set up. starting friday or next week. awaiting amp funds transfer

month might be down 5-10k.

I have always been interested to try out tradovate. But i might move back to amp if tradovate execution is shitty or whatever else that might come up..

The other option i have been curious about is clearing through Sierra denali setup, since now i think they have a web trading available.
I have my wife account there for over year ... You are going to love the performance tab in the Tradovate platform...:) fast ACH withdrawal... get my money to TD bank in 48 hours . I use tradingview for execution (no problem so far ...market order can get little slippage...)
I use Phillip capital like them better than Dorman.... Any problem in Tradovate call Andrew very helpfull guy... good luck mate ! Yes I would recomended them to my friend :)

my first day trading with tradovate; conclusion I HATE their platforms

can't add brackets to existing position , right click vs left click on the DOM for stop and limit orders respectively threw me off. no indicator alerts

pulse mobile was glitchy and design was completely shit. froze on me after few minutes. i tried their original app, the pulse app, and the web mobile version...all of them glitched and froze. that's saying something about whoever the retards were that designed this shit.

first day of trading i was fumbling with orders and had few execution errors here and there. Even with some demo practice before hand to learn the features..i guess its the new platform jitters...

anyway, first day stats. it's decent. nothing beyond the basic stuff really that you see on sierra charts.

so i have requested cqq access through them and will execute orders via cqg, and use tradingview for analysis.

Their customer service is slower than AMP's that's for sure. half the time i dont' even know if someone is on the other side. At least AMP is all about quick responses.

Next month I will start the active trader membership (paying annually of $948. This is going to be about $3.06RT. with CQG will be at $3.26RT. Their free plan is $2388/year and it will be $2.68RT or $2.88RT with CQG. If i can get to 100k by end of this year, then i will go with that plan. AMP is currently at $3.70 RT

What can i say other than, you can never just have that perfect setup with anyone, at least in my situation. give and take. The lower margins, cheaper commissions down the line and having my money and clearing through Dorman is a good trade off i think

fuck my life..AMP is only $11 data, 0.1/side CQG and no monthly connection fee.

with everything ($13 cme, routing, broker, connnection fee)
https://www.tradovate.com/TradovateAllInRates.pdf

free membership
$4.86RT ($43/month)

active trader
$3.66RT ($122/month)

comm free
$3.28RT ($242month)

i can still realize a discount over AMP. I can defnily cover the monthly cost with a single trade.

sigh....these motherfuckers lol

Hilmy,

Considering you prefer CQG...why not open an account with a different broker that also offers CQG platform instead of learning a new platform ?

Thus, you'll have two different brokers while using the same trade execution platform (CQG) with both brokers.

If you are not doing volume, wouldn't AMP be less expensive? And by the way, I hear they can negotiate commies depending on your situation.

i did. just completed setup of cqg access though tradovate. it's just that tradovate charges 3x routing fee and and $30 monthly connection fee more than AMP.

i know they had those monthly membership plans in the past, but not sure why they keep taking those off..maybe most amp customers are small timers and nobody really signs up for it..
