LOL.
To be fair, I think
@hilmy83 have been more transparent than most. And early on he was even livestreaming his trading sessions.
Come on. Who else would have had the guts to post daily losses of 83% and 30 %?
Contrast that with all the 'mentors' on this site who's busy annotating yesterday's chart, but never posted a statement or real time trade in their life.
It's very unlikely to find a trader with a huge edge who will take the time to mentor the public on ET and post the blotters to support it.
Yeah, I watched the livestreaming and when I missed a day...I then watched the recorded videos.
The reason why I was watching the livestreaming was to calculate the
performance metrics /
risk metrics out of my own curiosity. Didn't need him to spoon feed me his metrics from his broker trade execution platform. Anyone can calculate it themselves via knowing the time of the trades, position size, acct balance, broker leverage info the day of the trades and such.
The metrics are limited because there were not enough livestreams videos nor useful in today's different market environment. Also, I calculated a few different metrics that most traders typically do not calculate...
For example, [Tendency to increase position size after a trade loss]. It was too high
@ 68%.
I prefer to see it < 20% to show control of the trading plan. In the past, I like to see it < 8% but only saw one livestreamer do such but it was someone only around about a month of trading before he disappeared.
Another metric is what I call the [abuse of leverage] but it can only be calculated by knowing his position size, account size and leverage offered by the broker at the time of the trades...hilmy83 metric for this was high too.
- I didn't see anything in the metrics to change my view about his daytrading performance (riskier)...he does not adjust his position size management to the volatility of the day.
Than again, most daytraders do
not make such an adjustment and the trade journals here at ET that I know...
rarely do they reveal any verification of position size management/adjustments to the volatility of the day.
There's other traditional metrics that are good and some are bad. Anyways, these are my own quantitative statistical analysis of his trading in the livestreams. Not willing to share any other info considering most weren't viewing the livestreams when he was doing it nor interested in this thread.
I don't know if you remember, I was the vocal one here in hilmy83 thread when he was doing the livestream recommending him not to stop and/or not to delete the recorded videos if/when he stopped the livestream. I know its his digital content but I wanted him to leave the videos there because I had not finish viewing the last remaining 5 videos.
Regardless, I'm strongly curious and waiting for
@syswizard reply with a list of other trade journals that do in fact post performance metrics / risk metrics by the OP of those trade journals that syswizard participates in such threads...even if he's only posted once in those threads.
Doubt I'll get a list of trade journals from him. If he does post such a list...I'll be just as curious (personal reasons) to see what the OP of those trade journals posted for metrics, format of the metrics and such.
P.S. I have some people on
ignore. They may have a trade journal that I'm not viewing. Reason why I curious to see if they are someone on a list of trade journals that post performance metrics / risk metrics stats.
