virus is as small as molecule and the mask from pharma shop is full of holes for virus, like sieve for water
people wear mask in Asia (Bangkok, Shanghai, Peking, etc) to protect from dust and smog and it's the only correct reason to wear the mask
total 'mask obligation' is one of the elements of worlwide economical and financial artifical upheaval
it is all about the money.
Yeah, but the medical people (many) are wearing medical face masks and not just one of those typical face mask you see people wearing on the streets or being sold on Amazon.
Also, if you're only wearing a face mask in a hospital or around others that are infected at a large group gathering...face mask alone is
not good enough all by itself.
I myself learned this very quickly from a personal experience in 2016 when I was infected with a dangerous infection...more dangerous than Covid-19.
I was in
quarantine and every person that came into my room looked like they were astronauts. My family was allowed in on special visits and had to wear the same equipment after being assisted in / out. Yet, towards that last 2 weeks of my quarantine...all the nurses and doctors looked like they were going to do surgery without all that other protection equipment.
I remember a nurse while preparing me for a blood transfusion...she accidentally poked her finger with a needle. Other nurses came in...took a few tubes of blood from her and walked away with her. Later in the day, I learned she was now in quarantine for observations in another room on the same floor...she was their for several days...blood tested each day.
- You know things aren't good when you have the infectious patient and biohazard signs on your door.
So yeah, they weren't just wearing a medical face mask and they weren't just wearing it for protection from me...they wore it to protect me from them because my immune system was dangerously low.
In fact, its one of the
most common misconception about face mask wearing or any type of PPE use...people with compromised immune systems...you need to wear that PPE to keep from spreading your germs to those people with a compromised immune system.
Today, you can buy medical face masks like the N95 but its typically not recommended for the general public because of short supply. They need them for medical personnel especially the front line workers that only have just a face mask (not N95).
I'm not talking about the N95 to protect you from dust and airborne particles. Instead, there's a N95 specifically suited for medical procedures in hospitals. Simply, there's different types of N95's and the one with the least protection are selling like a fire cracker...
It's
not the protection you want from
infectious airborne particles but its better than nothing and better than a homemade fashionable face covering (e.g. made by Adiddas, Nike or Converse) and better than the commonly sold non medical masks you find on Amazon or by street vendors in Seoul, Korea.
- Regardless to all the above, a person not willing to wear any face mask whatsoever during Pandemic is most likely a person not properly washing their hands and not willing to social distance.
By the way, that
6 feet social distance recommendation is
incorrect. Not sure where they got that from. I think they got that 6 feet number because they figure its a number that people can be accepting of such a stringent policy in a Pandemic.

Not discussed is the air filtration system that's been designed to filtrate airborne pathogens, proper air circulation and so on. It's big business now for air filtration companies that were originally layed off from the lockdown. Many have been hiring like crazy to meet up with the demands...some have triple / quadruple their employees in comparison to their staff levels prior to the Pandemic.
Businesses, malls, stores and schools are slowly catching on about how to make it safe for those indoors in their buildings.
Strangely, I've only heard about one school (ecole) in my area...just one school that have changed their air filtration system to one that filtrates airborne infectious particles. Its a school with board members that have personal
prior experiences with the Legionnaires Disease.
