Johnny Rock's comeback

Passover Lambs:

Passover is celebrated by the Jewish community to celebrate the catalyst of their deliverance from the Pharoah.

To Christians Passover is a foreshadowing of the need for blood, specifically Jesus' blood, to cover sin and deliver "us" from evil.

You know what Evil is?

Killing the firstborn child in every household that did not cover the door jamb with blood!

Seriously, think about the consequences of this myth.

Even in modern warfare we don't kill children! Why would God?

Don't be a sheep! Otherwise you will remain a lamb being led to slaughter!!

Happy Easter ET!

It seems like I purchased/read a 100 trading books over the years.

Thus may be the best one yet! However, if I hadn't read those other books - some better than others, for sure - I am not sure how much value I would have received from this algo trading book.

I thought this paragraph was interesting considering how many of us attempt to trade with small accounts.

Side note:
  1. Get out of debt
  2. Save $15,000
  3. Keep working on coding familiarity
  4. Open a Tradestation account
  5. Trade commodities with a viable system
  6. Fuck with Larry Sugar (my favorite troll) along the way

Happy Easter, Johnny Rock...or can I call you Jo-Ro

I'm spending my Good Friday listening to this 8 hour hypnosis video to attract money and success in the shock market:
, o_O 2018 ET

Just when I am about to give up on the positive nature of most humans, you surprise me!

Don't take this as an insult. Did you formerly have a blog called Retarded Trader? The dude had a funny, albeit not politically correct, blog about 12 years ago; he was also from CA.

Happy Easter @lawrence-lugar.

Blind squirrels:

If squirrels are anything like my dogs - who are not blind - it would be their sense of smell that leads them to nuts!

The real detriment for a squirrel's well being would not being able to hear!

Although, once again, having a strong sense of smell would at least help identify predators.

Now that I am down to one reader, Larry Sugar - who rejoices in my misery - I can finally relax.

I can also share trading commentary without the fear of somebody getting rich off of my ideas. Besides, Sugar is already rich!

(I will put the idea in the next post.)

WEAT/QQQ:

Wheat (along with most commodities) normally trades in the opposite direction of the general market, whether that be the Dow, S&P or the Nasdaq.

However, since Trump started trumpeting a trade war, there is a similarity in the daily charts.

What's the idea?

You get more bang for your buck in Wheat. It also takes less bucks to trade!! (The actual commodity, not the ETF).

If I knew how to work this dang backtesting machine - or time machine - I would look at the 70s to see how to play an environment with trade wars and rising interest rates.

Combine the system the author used to win the World Cup Trading championship with the magazine cover method (not new or unique).

This idea may be worth trading right out of the box. The magazine cover effect may minimize the drawdown's on this system, but that will only play out at the end of the cycle.

Idea:
  1. 8 week H/L taken out
  2. Go long/short
  3. $1,000 trailing stop (20 cents)
This takes advantage of a moving market, but will churn in a tight sideways market. Although I am curious to see if there are many signals given in a tight, range bound market. Look for a filter.
