Well there is a problem...he evidently supported Al Gore back in the late 80s. That is a huge problem for me personally. I would say it is as bad as Romney's problem with Romneycare in Mass.
 
There are quite a few of the old time politicians in Texas who were democrats at one time.

My guess is he still would be better than Bush was, Perry only pretends to have conversations with god.

It's not just Ron Paul. They view him as a third party candidate. They treated Ralph Nader the same way. You should have heard the ridicule Ross Perot got back in 1992.
