Mr. McCain has endured horror that one can only imagine. For that he has my respect and admiration. That said, he has ridden the I was a hero you owe me horse quite a long time. He should have retired long ago.

I just do not see how a hero could turn into John McCain the man who soldout america to wall street and lost the presidency all at once ---it is his nature to be a sellout. How could I not question the veracity of his version of his captivity. If he can't stick up for any principles now, how could he stick up for them then?

I remember seeing the video footage, "Trial by Fire", if I recall the title correctly, in bootcamp. He's in there, bailing out of a plane on the flight deck, fire everywhere, bombs exploding. USS Forrestal I think. Good stuff.
