I wasn't defending McCain. I didn't vote for him. I don't even like the guy. But, of course, you just make whatever assumptions you want so that you can reach whatever conclusions you want to reach.

You assumed I was defending McCain. You're wrong. If I wanted to defend McCain, I would have offered a defense. The fact is, Biden and Pelosi are just as stupid as McCain. No, that's not a defense of McCain, nor was it meant to be. I was an indictment of the overall low quality of our politicians.

Yes, McCain is a dope. I agree that he is a dope, and to balance things out, I think there are lots of dopes in politics, including Obama, Biden, Pelosi on the left and McCain, Palin, and Bachmann on the right.

Now that would have been a reasonable attempt at a balance response.
