John Dean Piles On and Dumps on Bush

Quote from ARogueTrader:

Ya, we can't trust a guy who told the truth. We need to trust the loyalists who lie for the prez...

You have no way of knowing he told the truth. Like the liberal media, you just swallow anything that trashes a Republican, particularly a conservative.

Dean was in the middle of Watergate. Many believe the whole purpose of it was to retrieve embarrassing pictures of Dean's wife, who was reputed to have been a high-priced call girl.

Even if everything Nixon was accused of was true, it wouldn't have been a good morning's effort for Clinton. BTW, I think Nixon was a terrible president, although I will say he faced unique challenges that would have made anyone look bad. He made serious mistakes in following advisors who advocated things like wage/price controls, plus he did not respond effectively to the formation of OPEC. But he was so hamstrung by Democrats who controlled Congress that he had little room to act.

Quote from dgabriel:

Bush supporters won't flinch though, "Either your with Bush or with the terrorists, I mean the socialists, er, the Dems, you know, what I mean dang it!" Their response to any criticism is to demonize the critic, rather than address the complaint.

case in point :D

(no offense, AAA) :D

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

Why would John Dean have any special credibility? He turned weasel 30 years ago to save his own hide and hasn't done anything since that puts him in a position to know anything...

This proves one thing only. The best way for a nominal Republican to get publicity for a book is to dump on Republicans, preferably the President. The liberal media can't get enough of it...

This proves one thing only. The best way for a nominal Republican to get publicity for a book is to dump on Republicans, preferably the President. The liberal media can't get enough of it. A guy like Bernard Goldberg who wrote an excellent book criticizing the liberal bias of the media meanwhile is blackballed from every show.

Well, he was White House counsel at one point, so I think that puts him in a position of credibility in terms of examining White House behavior.

I agree on the second part, the Republicans will cannibalize each other.

You know the Liberals and Conservatives alike embrace defectors from the opposing camp.

Your point seem to illustrate two operating principles:

1) If one accepts the premise that there is a liberal media bias, one is disposed to reject any criticism of Bush that appears in a publication that is not outwardly aligned with Conservatives, without examining the validity of the criticism.

2) If a Republican attacks Bush, he is a moral denegerate.

Hoooohaaaa :D

AAA you are such a riot. That bit about Dean's wife...what a hoot! So typical of you right wingers. When confronted with the painful truth, immediately assasinate the opposition's character. Attack, attack, attack!!!!

And the idea of Clinton being more corrupt than Nixon. What a joke! You are truly one ardent true believer.

:) Thanks for that.

Did you hear that JERK today! 12 marines die and then you hear Shrub putting on his phony tough-guy persona and talking about how we are not going to cut and run. It would sound bad enough even from someone who had the background to talk tough; coming from the spoiled silver-spooned, degenerate rich kid, it is unfuckingbearable.

How can anyone listen to this shithead and NOT hate him!

I'll have to repeat this:

Iraq solution

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote from Nolan-Vinny-Sam:

Step one- dumya steps down Him and his cronies started this bullshit, do you really trust them to finish it???????

Step two- give 100$ to each Iraqi, let them vote, elect their OWN fucking rulers. 65% vote for clerics? so be it, it's fucking democracy.

Step 3- get the hell out of there.

Step 4- crucify the liars back home. Hold new elections.

bullshit war, a complete fraud, waste of taxpayers money andsoldiers blood

Step 5- take the $$ from HAL,Betchel and give it back to the taxpayers,

Step 6- find out who really did the 9-11 stone them in public (hint hint.. most are here in the US foes dressed as friends)

Step 7- send all the ET Bush supporters to Saudi Arabia. Bomb the crap out of them...ok maybe skip 7 we need the laughs
