The plain reality is that American voters have expressed over and over again that they like deficit spending, and that's what this "compromise" gives them. As long as that remains true, Perot or the Concord Coalition or the Tea Party or whatever name they cook up in the future will remain on the fringes.
I'm not saying I necessarily *like* it - but I'm not going to ignore the plain reality.
