Joe Manchin kills dreams of expanding Supreme Court

Manchin knows that ending the filibuster is a bad idea, because it makes major change way too easy. Deep down Biden knows this too. Same with packing the courts. Both are institutionalists. Changing the rules to fill vacancies was important since those positions are to be filled. They weren't meant to be partisan obstruction. However, changing the rules to pass legislation is a really bad idea. It allows for major legislation to be easily passed and easily overturned. I wouldn't mind if there was a constitutional amendment requiring 60 votes in the Senate for legislation.

Watch out for Joe Manchin switching parties if it looks like the pubs do not have a majority.

Not a card he wants to play unless he has to.

His raising the temp around how crazy the dems are paves the way and it makes it more palatable back in W. Virginia.
He was asked that directly and evaded it. I do see that as a possibility. Really there is no reason for him to be an Idiot Dem anyway.

Biden is secretly hoping The Senate stays in Republican hands so he has an excuse to sidestep some of the Leftist agenda should he win the election in December.

There's a better chance everybody on Earth dies before December than Biden loses. However, I don't think he minds a Republican Senate that much. He's been in government long enough to know how the system works.

Manchin votes with republicans when his vote doesn't matter.

When his vote matters like staying with the party to impeach Trump or voting to save Obamacare he votes democrat.

The Senate doesnt vote to impeach Presidents. Secondly his vote to convict did not matter. The dems had zero chance of conviction and removal from office. What kind of logic do you have?

Tony Stark is not a US citizen and has no idea how things work in the US.

Yep. He could ease into it too by changing his affiliation to Independent and caucusing with the Republicans so that he counts toward the republican majority. Both Bernie and Angus King play that game. They are fake-independents but caucus with the dems.

It does not matter. Biden is bought and paid for by the left. He was failing miserably in the primary and he needed to team up with Elizabeth Warren, In the general they told Biden to shut up and stay in his basement. The only time he come out was for the debates and he came across as a blithering idiot.

BTW, I like the Page picture.
