"Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal"

All of this is irrelevant. If they are working here illegally, that takes jobs from legals thus reducing wages for legals by illegitimately flooding the labor market. If they are illegal, they should have to leave, period. After all it's illegal. If they want to work legally, they should have to go through the process of all the other legal immigrants undergo. If you want to argue for reform of immigration policy, that's one thing. Defending an illegal immigration epidemic is a different story.

If these were wealthy Mexicans who were here on their own means that were spending their own money which were here illegaly because they simply overstayed their visa no one would care. They wouldn't be negatively affecting the labor market, or being economically parasitic. That's not the case, however. We have over 10% unemployment- we don't have generosity to spread...

Copied and pasted from another website:

"You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California .

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

That's bullshit. No one is going to pay you under the table. You obviously never owned a business or have any comprehension of taxes.

Quote from FortuneTeller:

If Jose Illegal's children were born in the USA, wouldn't that make it to where his family could get on welfare, ect or not?

Rather than offering wildly hypothetical questions, what are the realities of this assumption?

State govts turn down a lot of people for welfare and other services now, and I highly doubt that illegals with/without legal children are on the top part of any list.

And he could still work under the table?

This isn't 1975. Businesses and even a lot of private citizens are hyper-concerned about getting people to fill out the I-9 to prove their workers are legal. The punishment for hiring illegals knowingly or not properly credentialing them are severe.

LOL!!! You're joking right? You have obviously never owned a business. I guess you're claiming that all of the illegals are unemployed... what a fcking joke...
