At least Trump did not start any new wars or significantly escalate like his predecessors and a significant portion of Trump’s defense budget went towards addressing the naval gap created during the Obama Administration.

Trump didn't start any wars but he allowed N Korea to massively build up thier unclear arsenal,Iran is weeks from a nuclear bomb and he allowed massive Russian hacks ,interference in our elections ,weakening of NATO etc

They both doubled the debt,but Bush came into office with a budget surplus while Obama came into office with a trillion dollar deficit.Most of the debt Bush added was from his polices,most of Obamas debt was from paying for Bush's polices(Bushs wars,376 billion a year increased defense spending,Bushs tax cuts,bushs not paid for medicare expansion,Bushs losing 500,000 jobs a month economy.)

Lets throw in deficits as well.Clinton left Bush a budget surplus around 100 billion a year,and Bush turned it into a trillion dollar deficit.

Bush left Obama a trillion dollar deficit and Obama cut it in half to around 500 billion.

Your data shows when Obama came into office defense spending was 788 billion.When Obama left office (2016) your source has defense spending at 732 billion.

So even your source shows bush nearly doubled defense spending while Obama left office with defense spending lower than it was when he came into office .According to your data The most Obama increased spending during the time he was in office is 48 billion while bush increased defense spending by 376 billion.


Whether we use my data or yours they both show the same thing,Bush massively increased defense spending while Obama lowered it.
