Dems are mucking with the sequencing of primaries to put the states where Joe can win earlier in the lineup so that he starts ahead rather behind as last time.
They are really mucking with something that has a lot of unintended consequences. First of all, it may work, and Joe will lock in early and thereby exclude any other candidates who might be able to beat DeSantis. Is that what you want Dems? Idiots.
The other thing it will do is require dems who do not want Biden to start ripping him down hard, early, and often to see if they can damage him upfront, knowing the primaries further down the road are even more difficult for him. This is different than previous primaries where things start out slow and sort of remain slow (up until Super Tuesday) which lets the dems work things out on the playground and have lots of TV interviews and debates and all of that to arrive at the final outcome. Now they know Joe will take South Carolina -key state for a number of reasons- right out of the gate. As discussed, his opponents need viciously damage him early on.
Not really a problem for me. If the dems want Joe, then you go get yourself Joe if that works for ya, because it sure as hell works for me.
You also will have a lot of disgruntled states where the voters will vote against Joe because he moved their sacred primary date just to rig the election for him.
