Agree, when the basis for polling is anything but registered voters and the poll isn't conducted via telephone then you aren't likely to get meaningful results.

Online polls of "likely voters" is pure garbage.

I think out of all those on your list we can ignore the French.... nobody believes those pussies have a military.

A French sub probably fires the torpedoes on itself and has propellers on the front AND back so it can flee in any direction.

I hear ya. And I have been reluctant to take points down off the board for the Americans and - shuddering as I type this- put points up on the board for the French, but hey, sometimes you gotta do it.

Some of Macron's outrage is related to the fact that Merkel is leaving so he thinks and the world is watching to see if that means he is next senior dog in the EU power structure. I mean it is ridiculous but that kind of observation is going on and he is/was strutting a bit.

Then the Americans treat him like a non-entity in Australian strategy. Not helpful to his image.
