As discussed before, the military is deeply involved in the logistics planning and part of the planning has been to place the actual operations in the hands of those who - even the military has included- are better equipped and suited to carry out a civilian operation through civilian supply chains. You see military logistics as having to result in military personnel with uniforms on handling supplies. Whereas Warp Speed, for example, has recruited Walmart, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens to distribute right where many people are everyday. You want to see army tents down in the local park with nurses and doctors in uniform to give you that military feeling that will make us like the EU or whoever your model is here.

And the other example I gave is that the military is not transporting vaccine in cold storage planes because they contracted with United Airlines and American Airlines to take many airplanes that are not being utilized due to pandemic and convert them for specific cold storage use- that the military does have. But no, you want to see those military planes with that military look.

The problem is that the vaccines seem to be coming along nicely and ahead of schedule and you are looking for a new point of failure to backfill the hope that Trump would fail on the vaccines. Give it some time. It is a big operation and you will find the failure you need to see, somewhere. Not sure how you have become so convinced that just because the europeans are involving the military that that automatically makes it the right way.

Ok. I think we had this same discussion the other day so it is a bit repetitive. But, I got it. You want to see those military planes and tanks rolling down the street to feel like the government is on top of things. Some people just want a vaccine. Maybe down at Walmart while they are getting some taco sauce on tuesday. Joe would not be having this problem. If Joe were in charge he would have a few more years before the vaccine was even approved so he could do some real spiffy planning in that time period.

While contracting with United, Delta, American and other airlines to use unused capacity for transport via air may have been a good move --- the real problem is lack of capacity to transport by ground. So far all of these airlines have only made one flight with vaccine doses on board. None of them are doing ground transportation for distribution.

Note that FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc. have all rejected any involvement in COVID vaccine transportation. They are already completely topped out in package transport via ground and air..... and barely can keep up with their current package load.

Only one company, McKesson, has agreed to distribute the vaccine via trucks. The company does not have anywhere near the necessary logistics and resources needed to distribute and cold store hundreds of millions of COVID vaccine doses over a few months.

The U.S. Military is one of the best and most capable logistics entities in the world. The number of doses of cold storage vaccine that must be delivered in the minimal amount of time is one of the largest logistic challenges in history. CVS, Walgreens, etc. do not have the cold storage logistics capability needed to handle it. They are only attempting to install further cold storage in their stores to hold end deliveries so they can give people the shots.

Note that it is not only Europe using their military for distribution of the vaccine. Canada is doing this as well. Involving the military in the transportation and storage of the vaccine does not mean people will see army tents or will be given shots by military people in uniform. There are no rows of military tents. There are no tanks and rolling down the street. For the most part the transport and distribution of the vaccine will not be visible to the public if the military does it (the same in other countries).

Even the CEOs of Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies have been asking how the COVID vaccines will be distributed and shipped to their stores. Note that these pharmacies rely on third party vendors such as McKesson for the delivery of vaccines that require cold storage to their stores.

The pharmacies will be happy to take care of everything once the COVID vaccines are delivered on-site. It is unlikely that these pharmacies will be taking vaccines which require deep cold storage outside of their stores to schools, healthcare facilities, etc. at first; they are likely to require people make an confirmed appointment and come into the store so they can only pull the exact number of vaccines out of storage required for appointment time intervals. (Of course the entire cold storage situation is more complex than this - depending on the manufacturer, etc., deep storage time, maximum higher cold storage times, etc. etc.)

Most likely if the pharma companies can produce the vaccines, the Americans will find a way to successfully get it to the public. There will be adjustments and learnings required along the way and we will do that and those who are routing for our failure will poke us in the eye every step of the way.

Again, I get that if Europe or Canada are doing something one way that is something that we should automatically emulate. That is not enough for me. It is for you and it is for Biden - so you are in luck because that mindset is about to be au courant in DC.

I don't think there will be any talk about squeezing Hunter's partners to get them to flip on Hunter and Joe. They have already done that- in detail and with documentation.

The Big Guy might get 10 as always. 10 years.

His brother Jim and Hunter and the rest of the whole scuzzy crime mob Biden family are going to be getting a whole lot more attention than they wanted. The whole family should be in prison. Including Biden's sister along with the other aforementioned scumbags.

The thing I wonder about is the Oxford vaccine crowd have found that some highly allergic people have had anafalactic reactions so they are recommending doses be given where there are recussitation facilities.

I have a feeling the same will be true for the other vaccines.. So Walgreens etc. giving the shots? Are they just going to depend on telling people who carry Epipens for anaphylaxis go to a real hospital instead?
