.Joe was considered to be and still is a bottom of the barrel candidate in the primary.
Then it was clearly demonstrated that the other thirty- including Kamala Harris- would be even worse than Joe in the eyes of dem voters.
I guess this is what sends a tingle up your leg.
You can shuffle the deck anyway you want but the dem voters were not excited about any candidate for more than a couple months in the primary. So if you point out that they eventually had to pick people that were clearly losers that is mathematical given, after the door closed and they stopped adding candidates.
Winning the Dem Party Special Olympics got you a disabled candidate confined to his home.
The next level of analysis involves why this particular woman and why this particular “Black” person?
There are no shortage of Black female Democrat politicians, right?
Kamala is smart, energetic, and can be creative. She can develop compelling arguments and put heat on her opponents, even if she does not take heat well herself. A solid strategy for the Republicans is to test her in a well thought out way. Tough, I know <Grin>. Simply going with under supported ad hominems is not going to do it. In fact, it may create sympathy for her.
The Republicans have their work cut out for them. However, the Democrats do have a asymmetric disadvantage on an important issue for Independents and also highlights the fundamental hypocracy of the Democratic Party. However, would the Republicans be smart to exploit it sufficiently to make a difference?
Time will tell.
The way I see it, the Democrats have the “Enthusiasm advantage” right now and voters action tend to follow their emotions.
The Democrats are in play because of Trump’s handling of the Coronavirus, right? The whole fooking US Presidental race could be looked at as a Special Olympics.
I rest my case.
The only classifications that I recognize are American and Anti-American (Leftists). The Left is the group that will try to label her as African-American in order to pander.

She alleges that she dropped out due to lack of fundraising which is not pretty either. She was supposed to be a rising star but was not able to attract many investors after her poor showing.
The other thing, there is predictably a surge of people here and in the media touting her debating skills and how she will destroy trump and pence. This is based on her abuse of Kavanaugh and ripping Joe in a debate. They conveniently forget how - toward the end- she became publicly beaten and confused trying to explain her own positions- most notably trying to walk-back her statement that she would eliminate private insurance companies. It was not only her problem with the position but the beaten and confused demeanor in trying to handle it.
Because she checks a lot of the boxes and is not Joe Biden, she will generate lots of interest - again- because the dem voters are still trying like hell to make chickensoup out of chickenshit - but she does not age well.
