Maybe. I wouldn't think less of it though. Could be unobtrusive like Wikipedia. I think the advertisers here are generally responsible. Glad to see no education-scam nonsense.

I still wish there were an invite-only section for people who actually want to post seriously about trading. Maybe with an added requirement of 100K+/year from trading on tax returns. Others could view but not post.

Doesn't matter. I get audited every year anyways. My favorite question in when they want me to print out every trade I did for the year. I tell them it's about 1 million sheets of paper. That's ended my audits twice. But last year was the best. My auditor got defunded during the government shutdown.

We have an invite-only feature here called Private Threads. It seems like traditional private messaging as first. But instead of being only one-on-one messaging, you can invite whichever members you want into the conversation and optionally allow those people to invite whoever they want as well. And the conversation is displayed just like a traditional discussion thread.

The only difference from what you described is that the thread is only viewable by who you invite (and who those members invite), not the general public.
