Job Hunting? Dig Up Those Old SAT Scores

In this instance...yes.

Kind of like when you tell your wife she doesnt look fat in those jeans, or that you can keep your doctor if you want to.
 
Many top jobs have been doing this since the 80's. Not sure why its a big deal now unless its becoming common place for entry level jobs .

Also, doesn't the military still ask recruits to cough up their ACT or SAT scores ?
 
Outside America, some companies administer IQ and personality tests. They want to know raw intelligence and more about how the person thinks so as to ensure a good fit, if such is possible by testing. No big deal.

While I had a decent score, I will never forget getting my first job on a trading desk out of college. The recruiter didnt want to see my resume, just asked my gpa and SAT score. When I replied truthfully, I was told it wasnt good enough and was completely blown off.

When I called back 2 days later and gave my "new" nnumbers, GPA + .3, SAT +100, my resume was then accepted and forwarded to the firm, where I ended up getting the job and beating out other "more qualified" candidates.

The true problem is that people are lazy, that we live in a cover you ass type society, and no one knows how to make qualitative decisions anymore.

Yeah. The true problem is that people are lazy. And to compensate for their laziness they have to lie about their gpa's and the sat scores.

The military is dumbing down their standards last I heard. Sadly, the U.S.A. doesn't think you need to be smart to be IED fodder.
