Here are the statements to prove it. I donât know what else you want, but there is no way youâre getting a full coverage plan for $100. If those quotes even true, they are like tire ads for $25. You go there and ask for the $25 tires and of course they are always out of them. Or your car needs different ones because of course itâs a specialized car, even though itâs a Camry. When itâs all said and done, somehow you still end up paying $75 a tire.Quote from volente_00: A far cry from $272 like you claim. http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/ehi/Quote.fs?mcei.html.screen++.IFPOverview.row:8.x=1 If you switch to ppo or network you can get some for 100 -115.
I do like it that you attempted to give give a real life solution, but you left out a couple of things. First off, Maryland income taxes are I think 5-6% after the first $5-6000. So you can add another $1000 for every 25k in income. The transportation costs of $200 is actually a median price I gave between public transportation and a car. A car costs much more. My car insurance alone is about $120, and trust me thatâs cheap. I spent more than 3k in repairs last year, but I drove it for my job, so itâs understandable. You also left out any savings and/or college or business ventures so that somebody making $10 an hour can someday get a better job.Quote from volente_00:
Minimal housing: $500 Utilities: $100 Health insurance: $100-150 Co-Pays and prescriptions: $50 Food: $275 Transportation: $200 120 gas 60 liability 20 maint Phone: $50 Clothes: $50 Household items: $100 total $1475 40 x 10 x 52 = 20800 Of that 5450 of standard deduction and 3500 for 1 exemption. That leaves you 11850 taxed at 10% and the rest at 15 for a total tax liability of $1377. 20800 - 1377 = 19423 19423 / 52 = $373 weekly 373 x 4 weeks = 1492 1492 - 1475 above leaves you $17 to buy some beer.
Your response is very typical to what I get around here. Most people end up conceding my points, but delegitimize them because Iâm young or donât have a real job or college degree etc. You disagree with what I say, but can hardly prove my points wrong. In fact you agreed with exactly what I said about outsourcing taking money away from Americans who would have used that money in our economy. I never said immigrants donât spend money here, I said they send money back to their countries and at the same time use up our social services that we pay for.Quote from Now is Now: This tells us that at the tender age of 24 you don't have the first clue of reality or a grasp of the facts. You say you live rent free...there in lies the first problem, you don't recognize the fact that "life" , whether living at home or not, should not be a free lunch....my daughter works part time and attends college full time . My son will have his first job this summer ,and BOTH will pay a nominal rent..the amount is not important, but the principle is very important. It is not that they have to pay rent, but there is a lesson of responsibility and respect that has to be instilled from the outset. In relation to your last paragraph of your diatribe....it is a complete contradiction in of itself.....re read. Bottom line...immigrants spend money here....get it; here....whereas jobs outsourced to other countries provide NO local direct stimulus. Keep up this attitude and you won't need a bailout, but a lock up.
