Jinxu's Dow E-mini Journal 2010

I'm down $110 on five trades today. The stress is really affecting me. I was undisciplined and impatient and tried to trade pre-market today. But got out at breakeven on those trades. I tried to go short at the open, but the chop got me. Then I went on sims and started doing better. If I had stayed with my rules I could've made money or at least didn't lose much. There's definitely a certain time frame when my rules will work. I'm out of funds. It doesn't make sense to continue on like this. I'll go find a job to subsidize my trading. That'll let me pay my bills and give me more time for my account to start taking off. I don't need to spend much time on trading. My system allows me the flexibility to only need to trade a short period during the day. So working a job and trading is doable.

Quote from jinxu:

I swear I think I'm being cursed.

I blew up with a $305 loss on two trades. I initially took a short position but didn't worked out, but was prepared to get out with a $45 loss. Then for some reason I went long at a price area I identified earlier as a good place to short. It turns out I ended up going long near a high. I figured with how strong the market was I would wait it out. But it fell much further than I wanted and I was forced to exit due to a margin call. Then it turns out I exited at a major low. Truly amazing how terrible my luck was today.

I'll post a chart in a little bit so you can see.

I may be able to refund but I'm gonna take a break. I think the flaw in my system is the quick reaction time needed to time reversal accurately with then makes myself susceptible to making emotional impulsive errors. It works great on paper, but very hard to do in live trading.

I read 32 pages of this crap. Now I'm 17, and I have more mental integrity than you do. You're gambling, and while you may have some execution skills and what apparently is some "mysterious amazing system" that works only half of the time, you lack so much more.

You have made me realize some problems in myself, and I thank you for that.

Unfortunately, I can't read any more of your 32 pages. My stomach hurts from laughing.
