Jimmy Carter and disaster politics

Jimmy Carter is @ it again, this time Cheney is the "disaster". I think he has also said the same thing about President Bush. Let's for a moment not worry about the truth in either statement, it does not matter but let me ask this: How does Jimmy Carter really have room to call anyone a disaster? I mean isnt Carter calling a President or VP a disaster a little bit like if the Nation of Islam's leadership was to be bitching and complaining that the head of the KKK is a racist? I mean it might be true, but does he really have room to talk?
