That's total BS and its laughable.
Up until recent times the majority of Catholics have always registered and voted Democrat. And note... Catholics comprise the largest single religious voting group in the U.S.
So why have so many shifted to the right in the last 2 decades and skewed those numbers?
I don't think its much of a reach H4 to attribute that to all the scandals in the Church.
Look at Boston for christ-sake. Yeah.... that's certainly a bastion of right leaning conservatives. Gimmee a break; I'm not gonna let that one slide by H4. Do some homework.

The Catholic Church has always opposed those things. Worldwide. As do many other religions.
That Doctrine was around long before we had Libs/Cons going toe to toe in this country.
The fact remains, in the time-frame that encompassed most of these cases, the lion's share of Catholics voted Dem.
You're saying conservative/progressive viewpoints aren't as old as religion itself? Muslims are voting mostly Democrat. I don't consider Islam particularly progressive.
