You make a statement of pure assertion, backed up with nothing, I question it as just another in a long line of 'stupid assumptions' (your own description of your tendency to shoot off at the mouth), and I'm the one who's supposed to provide data refuting your ignorant homophobic bullshit?
Do you really believe that's the way intelligent discourse works?
Kurt, you're in over your head here. Best just to start another thread about how Hitler was misunderstood and leave this one alone.

Where is all this going? You allow them to marry, allow them to adopt kids (despite that it's against NATURE), next think you know there will be zoosexuals coming out of the closed wanting to marry their dogs and horses.
Before you say this is crazy and will never happen, take a look at what people thought of gays 50 years ago...
I'm pretty sure there was no admission from Smith. The second case was thrown out of court as groundless, but he did settle the last one out of court.Quote from flytiger:

an example is the William Kennedy Smith 'trial', where a Liberal Judge would not allow witnesses crucial to prove Smith was a compulsive rapist. Years later, he was caught again, and again, and finally admitted it. More had to suffer, but his 'rights' were protected.
Kurt, I wouldn't waste 2 seconds of my time doing your homework for you, nor would I waste 2 seconds of my time clicking on some link that you provided. You're about as likely to be able to back up your assertions with rigorous statistical analysis as a monkey.Quote from Pa(b)st Prime:

Take a look at what the white Christians thought of Native Americans and blacks a few hundred years ago...
Not to mention women as not much more than chattel, and children as cheap labor...like equipment to a manufacturing plant.
Times change, but ignorance, bigotry, and faulty arguing from a conclusion to
a false argument seem to have stayed the same.
Quote from nitro:
I think the issue of gay adoption is very tough. Thinking outloud, is the issue that we are afraid that gay couples raise gay children? Or that they sexually abuse them? Or maybe both?
Yes Nitro, these are questions and fears of people about gay adoption. Good questions, and nothing wrong with asking these questions in my opinion. If there is genetic reason for homosexuality (something that is being researched) then a gay couple will not make their adopted child gay just becasue the child see 2 men or 2 women raising them. They will be attracted to opposite sex. I am heterosexual. If I see a man, I am attracted to him because something (chemical?) makes this happen. This does not happen when I see a women.
If a heterosexual single man adopts a girl, does that mean he will sexually abuse her? Then we have to say the same thing with a gay man adopting a boy. Does that mean he will sexually abuse him? I think it is very strange to see homosexuals, and yes it make me uncomfortable because I do not understand something that is different from me. But I know I can not accuse homosexuals of being pedophiles or raising their children to be homosexuals when I do not know why they are homosexual.
What I am against is a child being raised by homosexuals when it is not tolerated in almost all societys. More in America then other countrys, but still look down upon. The children could be a victim of teasing, bully, and persecution. That is very sad.
