The Canadian government increased Jetlines minimum allowable allowable foreign ownership to 49% from the usual 25%. This is an unprecedented move, and as such indicates their support and optimism toward promoting the chance of success with this ULCC.

Also, while I've seen nothing official about any association whatsoever, Richard Branson has publically tweeted his best wishes for Jetlines. I can't help but wonder if he might be considering investing in Jetlines since he sold Virgin America after losing control of it. This would be a huge boost IF he came on board.

If you follow Branson you should follow his advice, "If you want to be a Millionaire, start with a billion dollars and launch a new airline." BTW, there's always was a 49% control limit on Virgin America, Branson never "lost" control over it and he himself gives a much different reason for the sale than you do, in fact his reason is quite bearish toward something like Jetlines (http://fortune.com/2016/04/04/richard-branson-virgin-america/) I point all that out only to say it indicates that you're maybe getting carried away in your exuberance for this thing to the point that you're probably not thinking through the cons and focusing on the rosey picture they want you to see. For example, there are plenty of formerly successful airline execs who've failed at trying a second time, and Gadek wasn't the "brainchild" of Suncountry, he was simply one of many CEOs, I think he was second or third after the bankruptcy, something else that most airlines have in common if they've been around long enough. And Canada has a population smaller than California with an existing LCC and no chance of legally serving the U.S. market except transborder with Canada.
Listen, I'd personally love for them to succeed because I fly transborder all the time. And I'm a former professional pilot as well and love everything about aviation. I realized after several disastrous aviation related investments that I just can't be objective about aviation investment and gave myself a personal ban on investing in the space. Not suggesting you do anything so drastic, but from a disinterested third party view you do appear to have lost your objectivity on this one.

Any airline that invests energy into the fun of aviation is worth investing in as a company I reckon', and worth having a career in!
