First provide evidence that I am a Christian. You make a claim without proof. You may believe what you like, but where is your proof?
Secondly, you say he is a myth, yet at the same time you make claims of what he said and argue against them?
Which is it? Is he a myth and the statements attributed to him are mythical, or did he say that he was in fact God?
And if he did exist, provide proof that he did in fact say that he was God.
If he did say he was one with God that statement is not the same as saying "I am God."
A drop of water is one with the ocean, but is still a drop.
I have seen a happily married couple say "we think and act as one." That doesn't mean they are one person.
It is one thing to say that what people have written about Jesus is wrong or false, it is quite another to say that Jesus himself said what people claim he said is true or false.
The truth is I don't know what he said, nor do you. I wasn't there, neither were you, and we have no recordings. What we have is text that has been translated multiple times from claimed eyewitness accounts and altered by different churches with different agendas.
I can agree with you that religions can be distortions of what Saints have said, that is human nature. You yourself distort things to advance your cause and to propagate your belief systems.
However, that distortion would be the work of man, not the work of God nor His Saints.
Quote from Gordon Gekko:
ok, you tell me....what did he do then??! you worship him because??????????????
p. s. don't tell me jesus claimed he is not "god." YES, HE DID. get your own religion straight.
