Jesus Christ born this day

Quote from Mom0/pH0x:

Actually, nearly all serious academics who have looked into the issue concur that christ was NOT born on dec 25, or even in the winter time for that matter....

The celebration of Christ's birth in the the early church

In the first 200 years of Christian history, no mention is made of the calendar date of Jesus' birth. Not until the year 336 do we find the first mention of a celebration of His birth.

Why this omission? In the case of the Church fathers, the reason is that, during the three centuries after Christ's life on earth, the event considered most worthy of commemoration was the date of His death. In comparison, the date of His birth was considered insignificant. As the Encyclopedia Americana explains, "Christmas... was, according to many authorities, not celebrated in the first centuries of the Christian church, as the Christian usage in general was to celebrate the death of remarkable persons rather than their birth..." (1944 edition, "Christmas").

i thought it was interesting...

So some Anti-Christ guys changed the days and times like it talks about in Revelation... We know that, but nobody celebrates in Septermber.

Quote from Wallet:

While we are not positive of the actual date, we set aside this day to remember and rejoice the physical birth of our Savior.

Those who rejoice in the flesh celebrate the birth of flesh.
Those who rejoice in the Spirit celebrate the birth of willingness in an unwilling world.

Christ!

Quote from Wallet:

The Faith to believe is not natural for man.......

Regardless of reason I know what's real to me, and that nothing can shake.

Before faith, there was knowledge. Knowing is the natural state of the Son of God. Faith is an unnatural gimick which makes the world of men. Faith is for wishing and hoping for what is not natural, and produces the "evidence" of "things not seen", and the "substance" of "things hoped for". As such, the world is a fantasy in the mind of Christ, made by faith, and dismantled by the withdrawl of faith.

Man is entirely a construct of faith. So faith is natural to man. Faith in the truth is not natural to man. When faith produces "evidence", man thinks he "knows" because he *sees* "substance". Rather, this is merely more faith in a vicious cycle of circular logic.

What you believe is real is therefore, nOt rEal. Rather, Christ is real, and you can't see the real while you see the unreal. So, you must be blind. If you are blind and say, "I can see", then you will remain in your blindness.

I am shaking the foundations of the world. Can you feel it yet?

Christ!
