She literally called for people to boycott the sponsors of the Dallas cowboys, which means by proxy she called for people to boycot the sponsors of her own network, you dont tink the same people who sponsor the dallas cowboys run their commercials on ESPN during cowboys games?

There is no business in the world that would allow an employee to call for people to boycott the people who are paying their bills, unless of course the business was overrun by a bunch of political hacks who really dont give a shit about the business.

I really didn't even bother to read what she posted because quite frankly, it's irrelevant because of your bolded comment. I support businesses to run as they please.

I know businesses aren't above pettiness, but I wouldn't end a money making contract because of some loud mouth at the other company. Basically, I've found most businesses rise above the butt hurt.

Go and read the thread on the tweet which she posted,(if its still there) you now have people who are boycotting the sponsors in agreement with her, and other people who are boycotting the sponsors in disagreement with ESPN not firing her, she managed to find a rare consensus in this day and age.

If i was a sponsor i would immediately drop ESPN, if ESPN sticks with her it would blow my mind, if i could short ESPN specifically after they keep her on if thats the road they take i would short it all day, this has now gotten enough attention that people on both sides are boycotting ESPN's sponsors.

I dont even think Tom Brady could hold on too his job if he came out and trashed New Englands sponsors and told people to boycott them, and he has five super bowl rings. So from a purely business perspective why would you hold on too some toxic mouth piece when they are a dime a dozen. We are about to find out just how bad politics influences decisions at ESPN i really dont see how any business person concerned about the bottom line could make the decision not to fire her now, unless it was solely a political decision.

Im just telling you the reality of the situation, this will hit ESPN's bottom line, i couldnt care less either way, i happen to fall into the camp of the people who probably would never quit watching Football, i love my sundays, and gambling on football, but i hate all the politics, and there is no doubt that them choosing to inject this shit is costing them money, both at the NFL, and at ESPN.

Just came across this article, that supports my earlier argument expect the right wing to push this narrative hard in the coming days. This tweet and suspension of Jemele Hill is now one of the top stories on Breitbart, Fox news, Huff post, Daily caller, literally every site on both sides, so its safe to say it went viral, she is screwed unless the people at ESPN are such political hacks they let it slide.

Top Cowboys Advertiser AT&T Ran Nearly 30 Ads On ESPN–Just This Weekend

AT&T, a top advertiser with the Dallas Cowboys, ran about 30 ads on ESPN just this weekend.

The Dallas Cowboys play in a stadium named after the cell phone service provider.

ESPN’s Jemele Hill was suspended from the network Monday for supporting an advertiser boycott against the NFL and the Cowboys specifically. (RELATED: Jemele Hill Wants Fans To Boycott NFL Advertisers)

According to records kept by media monitoring service TV Eyes, AT&T appearing nearly 30 times on ESPN shows that Hill’s tweet threatening advertiser revenue could have made the network act.

Hill was previously reprimanded by ESPN for calling Donald Trump a “white supremacist” on Twitter, an act the White House called a “fireable offense.”

Was reading something somewhere about a potential 20-25% viewership hit and it being downplayed as no big deal due to the "significance of the issue". Those are definitely big numbers, but I wonder if there's a play here for growing demographics?

So far from the articles ive been reading the numbers are only down about 5% from 2016, but the thing is that 2016 numbers were 25% lower already than 2015, because it was one of the most widely watched elections in history. People were glued to their screens watching the election last year, so numbers should have ticked up big time this year instead they are ticking down even further.

The ratings for the sunday night football game are down 5% from last years sunday night football game at this point, but last years sunday night football game fell on the same night as the Second presidential debate right after the "Grab em by the pussy" video got released, so i think its pretty safe to say its hitting them HARD right now.

That’s a drop of 3 percent over last Sunday night’s match where the Seattle Seahawks beat the Indianapolis Colts 46-18. Those numbers make it the lowest rated game so far in a season, which has seen ratings drop as NFL players and coaches allow protests during the national anthem.

Last week, “SNF” final numbers saw a 5.8/21 in the key demographic of ages 18-49 and 16.73 million viewers, which was down over the week prior.

In comparison, a year ago at the same time the Sunday night game on October 9, 2016, netted a ratings of just four percent higher in metered market households and a 5.9/16 in the coveted demographic with 16.62 million viewers. That game that was up against a highly anticipated presidential town hall debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in a week that the infamous “Access Hollywood” clip of Billy Bush and Trump speaking candidly about women came out.
