L ES @ 1088.75.....quick cover @ 1089.50 for +3 ticks

Good initial setup but I wanted to see a quick pop over 1090 to keep me in it.
 
Interesting day so far. I have just taken a couple trades this morning so far and actually just missed two fills on another couple really good trades. I'm tightening up the rules a little bit after yesterday and definitely seeing the market much better.
 
Really not much going on so far after lunch, very choppy. Going over my trades from yesterday I definitely got a little too aggressive so I'm dialing it down a little bit and being more selective today.

hey bro, great to hear that you are much more "IN THE ZONE!!," to use one of those terms i hear yelled every now and again across the gym.
for me, it seems that even the IDEA of "tightening up" can give a little more focus/clarity and objectivity and when trading discretionarily, that is of utmost importance, IMHO.

I haven't been able to post to ET here for a little while. Anyway, one trade:

S ES @ 1090.75 and covered at 1088.75 for +8 ticks

Also tried to buy NQ @1776.50 but no fill
 
Thanks man, sometimes it takes a sloppy day like yesterday to remind myself what the rules are. Taking some time last night and going over my trades and my charts I think has allowed me to tighten things up today and trade much better.

yup, i almost think it is better to not trade at all if my mind is not at least 64% clear (need to buy one of those gauges at walmart).
i started the day stopped out on SPY shorts twice between 9:50 and 10 and twice long the first 10 minutes of 11 so have been playing catch up since, doing ok with the range it had been in but still a ways to go. leaning towards short, still LH, LL but will take a long if it begs, like now and with a tight stop.
