java messes up ib workstation

I was busy Friday, and java kept sending me update messages. I just replied "yes" like I always do. Now I can't log into ib workstation. Probably no help until I can talk to them on the phone Monday morning, unless someone knows what to do.

I updated. No problem.

I always accept the Java updates. No problems.

Is your TWS current update or old?
it's about a year old. I think the update that got me was, "You have old java files, do you want to delete them automatically?"

now when I try to login I get java msgs, file not found

it takes me a long time to set up a new screen, so I'd rather not have to download a new tws

Well it doesn't seem like your issue is TWS here due to the msg.

A point of note, I don't lose anything when I update TWS. Settings are uploaded plus I save a set on my PC to be safe, and those load with the update so all screens are as usual.

If you have a recent system restore point, you could consider rolling back and see if that works.

thanks, it's working now. I did a restore, that didn't help, so I uninstalled java, and downloaded the 32 and 64 bit per ib's instructions
