You could check Dr. Watson. The update on Monday will resolve a lot of the problems.

I am going to look for another installer besides the package and deployment wizard offered by MSFT.

That would be greatly appreciated. I believe that I clicked on everything I could possibly do to get it connected to IB, but to no avail. I will try it again, later today. As far as Tws.ocx is concerned I am using the latest TWS build that I installed anew just the last weekend, so it should be the right one, and the Active X connection is checked.

I need to make a better menu. This will be included Monday as well.
 
This is how close I have managed to get. Clicked that button (Broker) that you mentioned and the familar box with 'Accept incoming connection attempt?' popped out. Clicking 'yes' does nothing, the TWS freezes and you have to close it by forceful methods, by ending the task.

I tested both the TWS demo and regular version. Same in both cases.

The connection could not be established.

Well, I am closer, but not there yet.

Speaking of copyright on code, can anyone tell me how you go about protecting the functionality or design of a unique user interface?

In many cases this is just as important as protecting the code. Can it be achieved through a combination of patents and or registered designs?
