I am new to trading, but if anyone is interested in what this is:

I had extra money in the bank that I put into mutual funds to make more than the 4% a year from the account. I got mostly international funds and opened an account on May 17. Everything seemed great until the end of July. So, I decided to begin watching the DOW every day from open to close to begin to get a feel for and understand price action. By mid-August I moved most the money out of the funds and started buying some ETFs for postions to hold. I have found that I really do not like holding postions for a long time, so I started intraday trading as well. I have not kept a good record other than the "History" on my account. So, I decided to type it all down here to keep better track of where I am overall.
I'm not doing too good so far, but I am definitely learning. Have to be careful what I read on ET before the open. I read all the "big red" and "market will move down after 9" talk before the opening today and changed postions (from EWZ, FXI to DXD) too soon due to fear of a drop instead of just watching the price action.

1. Tried using extra intraday trading money which had to be closed out and could not be held over night.
2. Got overly long-term bearish, thus did not keep postions balanced and did not trade strictly by price action.
3. Did not wait on market; took loses to get overly short.
