What if the first trade a loser - would you have been compelled to place another

Must trade the mkt..., and must trade exactly what the mkt is offering

If nothing offered - no trade taken - regardless whether the last trade a winner..., or a loser

Yes, I believe I am still trading the PnL. It may well be my last hurdle. I am aware I do it once I get positive on the day. It's in the back of my mind but also trying to consciously push through and take more trades if they're there. My primary focus is to make sure the trades I take are valid and that I manage them according to plan. Then I will focus on taking all valid trades. Of course, no reason I can't work on both at the same time.

A+ for entering trades and for patience in waiting/not taking trades. C- for management. First two trades were managed perfect and next two were exited early. The last trade I was hesitant to enter so when it went positive then paused at support I think I thought "well, I wasn't expecting this to work anyway so I'll just take this unexpected profit". Trading the PnL still I suppose.

I'm aware of my problems but still having a hard time 'letting go'. I've got time on my commute to mull this over. I will get past this.

An observation

As the day wore on... it appears.., it wore you down (by product of not letting go)

yeah I know..., firm grasp of the obvious - I have - but also something to watch / observe yourself for

yes, possible. When it's taking willpower to enter trades then the willpower needed to stay in the trade is depleted. Need more 'letting go', effort free trading all around.

Will discuss what I'm fearful of with myself; among other things.

I decided to sleep in and skip the pre inventory report trading. Post report market choppy. My trades were going +10 then coming back on me and then several losses as well.

My focus was great and very relaxed in the trades. Was not concerned at the negative pnl just kept waiting for the chop to end.

Finally got a entry I wanted and increased target to 30. This was near last half hour. Price had a hard time moving up but wasn't falling then shot up to +30 but no fill and reversed right back down. And that's when I made a mistake. I exited at + 3 just to 'grab something'. Given the volatility and price coming back to support I should have waited another minute or so. Price than went right back up past my 30 tick target.

I then was knocked out of my game briefly and hesitated on another entry that would have worked.

So a little frustrated with myself but at the same time I liked that there was some improvement in my mindset for most of the day. What's also frustrating is I have this expectation to be profitable every day or at least have larger winning days so that I can see some evidence that this will become a profitable venture on a weekly basis. OK so getting ahead of myself and happy with my progress overall. Very happy with mindset for most of the day.

BTW, CL shot up 200 ticks in last half hour which even though I wouldn't have caught it was still frustrating to miss.

Wow , lot's of 'frustrating' in there. Eh, just a day of trading, wasn't that bad. Back fresh tomorrow.
