Bomb explodes in Capitol building

https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/bomb-explodes-in-capitol-building
A bomb explodes in the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., causing an estimated $300,000 in damage but hurting no one. A group calling itself the Weather Underground claimed credit for the bombing, which was done in protest of the ongoing U.S.-supported Laos invasion.

The so-called Weathermen were a radical faction of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS); the Weathermen advocated violent means to transform American society. The philosophical foundations of the Weathermen were Marxist in nature; they believed that militant struggle was the key to striking out against the state to build a revolutionary consciousness among the young, particularly the white working class. Their primary tools to achieving these ends were arson and bombing.

Among the other targets of Weathermen bombings were the Long Island Court House, the New York Police Department headquarters, the Pentagon, and the State Department.

''I'll pay your legal fees.'' said Trump , but this guy had to send in his mother to plea on his behalf.

MAGA rioter's mother begs for leniency: His 'anger issues' were fueled by Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones

On Wednesday, CBS News' Scott MacFarlane, the key correspondent covering the January 6 trials, reported that the mother of Jack Kostolsky -- an Allentown, Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty to unlawful picketing at the Capitol -- is begging the judge to show mercy — arguing that his mind was poisoned by far-right conspiracy theories.

Jack is what I believe to be a victim of the media."

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday called on his supporters to "rise up" on the eve of the anniversary of the riots he incited at the United States Capitol building.

"This is an outrage, and MAGA nation should rise up and oppose this egregious federal government overreach," Trump wrote.

This is what psychopaths like Trump do. Anybody who believes in this fool deserves what they had coming to them.

Trump has been laughing about the suffering of 1/6 victims when talking with close friends: report

According to a report from the Daily Beast, Donald Trump has been mocking and laughing with close aides the stories told by victims who were either trapped or assaulted by his fans as they stormed the Capitol on Jan 6th.

"In several conversations with close allies over the past 12 months, Trump has repeatedly made fun of the idea that certain legislators, police, or journalists were traumatized by the violent events of the day, according to these sources. There are moments when the ex-president has speculated that his critics are 'faking' their trauma and anxiety, for attention. Other times, he’s done poor, whining impersonations of perceived enemy lawmakers crying about the riot."

Check out how The Great Grifter used Jan6th to milk his undernourished supporters of their snaps money.

Trump Hotel charged $8,000 for cheapest room one year ago on Jan. 6 — today it is $446:

Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C. is charging $7,500 less that it charged a year go.

"Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election," Trump falsely claimed in a Dec. 19 tweet. "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!"

A week later he tweeted, "Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th." A day later, Trump said "See you in Washington, DC, on January 6th. Don’t miss it. Information to follow!"

A large contingent of his MAGA base traveled to D.C. and his hotel took full advantage of the influx.

"Almost immediately, rates surged from $476 to $1,999. A week later, they climbed to $3,600, before peaking at $8,000 for the least-expensive room. The house was apparently packed. A manager for the hotel later boasted that room service enjoyed record numbers that week," Zach Everson reported for Forbes.

This week the cheapest room is $446.

Probably all former Trump University enrollees.
