Sorry for doubting your untelligence, Jason. As to second-guessing, if you don't have that impulse and agonize over following it, you close yourself off to new insights and systems. In a typical day I design test and discard about three systems. The funny thing is that a miserably failed system sometimes leads to a success in an unexpected direction. But you probably already know that. Anyway, keep up the snipe hunt. You may have a different opinion of him when you find his trail. He IS a garrulous exaggerating self-aggrandizing annoying old fart. But some of what he says is true.

Hahahahaha! Got me! What else do you do when you have a system that works? ET is filled with people who are bored out of their skulls waiting for happy hour to commence. Where else to go until then except to the on-line zoo to torment the animals and dodge the fecal matter they fling at you?

Exactement. I am still bored. Right now I am backtesting. Each iteration on my Apple II takes about ten seconds. Barely enough time to scratch your nuts properly, much less do anything else fun. But it's enough time to check ET.
Backtesting has limits. Static parameters imposed on a dynamic system. Its like trying the find the function on a curve that is always changing its slope. Good luck with that.
Well, it works for me. I do find that the solutions tend to be slightly non-stationary. But you can be assured that I am not getting rich off of it. If I were, I'd hire someone to harrass ET for me and I'd spend all my free time screwing fat lonely old ladies.

No apology needed. I understand. I probably won't continue my snipe hunt any longer. I've done my due-diligence and am satisfied with what I've found. You know, in all honesty, I do think Jack does believe in what he teaches (a little too much). The funny thing is that I also think some of what he says has merit and every once in a while, I see a true nugget of wisdom. The problem is that it's mingled in with such large amounts of incomprehensible rambling and exaggerations (made to sound like absolute truth) that it really becomes kind-a moot.....
I'm (however) afraid that we may not be hearing from good 'ole Jack for a while though. At the end of his last post, he says the following:
