I knew a black guy that was security for a little market in the desert. He was a martial artist. He'd go mano a mano with the thieving garbage from Los Angeles in the parking lot. I was always worried he'd be shot. They had another guy, a white guy, that was an armed security guy and he was shooting them at about the rate of one or two a year and not going to jail for it all... They used to scream and yell when they got escorted out of the store, they scream and yell when the lines are too slow, they scream and yell when a white person asks them what time it is or to move out of the way so he can get down the aisle... in the SHTF scenario they are going to be a real problem, I mean like a really serious problem. I moved about 150 miles from Los Angeles and the next move is out of this shithole of a country. There are places where a chemical has to be proven safe before it's fed to me or dumped in my drinking water, there are places where one minority isn't completely fed and housed by another one, there are places where the border is a border, there are places without medical tyranny... fuck this shithole..
Reddit users have helped raise more than $18,000 to buy new and better equipment for âkick ass mall copâ Darien Long after video of him using his Taser on an out of control mother went viral.
The incident that quickly garnered national attention occurred about eight months ago at Atlantaâs Metro Mall. It all began when Long, who is both the on-site manager and security guard at the mall, attempted to quiet a group of children who were making noise, prompting the kidsâ mother to begin harassing and threatening him.
Long showed incredible patience and restraint as the mother and a number of other women berated him continuously. Even the young children eventually began mocking the security guard, calling him âgay.â
The mother who started the initial confrontation eventually assaulted Long, forcing him to use his Taser on the woman.
The entire ordeal was recorded on the camera on Longâs bulletproof vest. The video, posted on Reddit Tuesday, has since gone viral.
Long now has a formidable group of online supporters who are applauding his handling of the situation. The fundraising effort on crowdtilt.com will reportedly go towards purchasing Long better gear and equipment.
As of 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, the Internet campaign had raised $18,571.53 â and it doesnât expire for another 26 days. âThis campaign is verified by Crowdtilt (and they will disburse the funds directly to Darien),â the page says.
