Gorsuch is the fulfillment of a very important Campaign promise. Perhaps the most imortant.

Obamacare liete will return of the democrats to power while continuing to steal 6,000 to 10,000 a year from the base which elected him. It breaks the second most important promise that Trump and all the Republicans made and have been elected to do.

I have to wonder about Trumps reelection plan as well has half the republicans.
This is not what they promised. This is what democrats, Ryan and McConnell do to tax payers... but not Trump.

Once again Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are and a few others are the only people we can trust on these establishment issues. If Trump Ryan and McConnell pass this piece of insurance company created crap... Trump has a good chance of being taken out in the primarys. What is he going to run on? I screwed you with obamacare lite? While Rand Paul and Ted Cruz get to destroy him in debate after debate? If this crap passes he is going to have to eliminate income taxes to keep the base enthused. He will be lucky if he is a 25% approval after a year or two more of Obamacare.

Now back to my self imposed non posting.

Go nuclear if needed to confirm Gorsuch, this will be the standard from now on. The Democrats have no intention of cooperating, they have stood party strong as Republicians have waffled for years. Time to fight fire with fire. Lay out the agenda and vote it in, stop all this placating. The GOP will own what ever is put out regardless of any Bipartisanship, might as well write it the way it needs to be written and in taking the strong stand and doing what's right, the American people will stand behind it.

However the crap that is currently being presented will backfire and end up overturning all the endroads made by the GOP into the conservative democratic bloc. Everything will turn back blue and half of the GOP will walk away for good. Thay have one chance to do this right, anything else will kill the GOP for decades.

The only silver lining will be a conservative tilt on the Supream Court for many years if Trump can appoint one more before his term is up.

It just goes to show you how corrupt the system is, both sides of the aisle.
 
Trump is making the same rookie mistake Obama did. Obama wasted his congressional majorities the first two years on obamacare and bailouts. He should have pushed through amnesty and open borders and thereby insured democrat control in perpetuity. When he got around to it, republicans had the power to block it and did so, even though many of them were as traitorous as Obama on the issue.

Now Trump is getting drawn into the quagmire of health care. While repealing obamacare was a core campaign promise, replacing it with Ryan's deeply flawed plan was not. Even worse, Trump is spending a lot of political capital on it, forcing his few supporters in congress into an untenable position.

His budget was also disappointing, lavishing even more money on the military. As bad as some of the domestic programs are, at least some of the money goes to the needy. Trump's priorities read like John McCain drew them up.

All good points. The bill looks like it will fail. Rand has assured the votes are not there for it.

This may be a Trump troll. Or it may not. Unsure and worried like you, at this point....
