Right on cue ^ ......the assholes.
Well, when you take into account their jobs, no, not a model family. What I mean was, apparently faithful to each other, both well educated and employed, raising a couple of great kids they're sending to college. American dream right there.
Yeah, so?
Especially when he is in church with his family and his close friend is screaming "Goddamn America". Everything that makes Obama feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
To be a model American family, don't you first have to take pride in America. That automatically disqualifies the Obamas.
The Obama family is more of a "traditional American family". The husband works, the wife does not, a single long term marriage with children.
The "model American family" looks more like the Trump family. The majority of families in America are no longer the traditional American family. They involve families with multiple marriages with children different parent, single parents, youngsters living with extended family members.... anything but the traditional nuclear family.

This is reflected in product marketing campaigns today which focus on non-traditional families in advertising and mailings. For example, your wife no longer gets advertising postcards labeled to "Mrs. John Smith" -- they use her first name and don't use Mrs. as a prefix live they did thirty years ago.
All this being said... it is time for Michelle Obama to be quiet unless she wants every single parenting mis-step of the Obama's dragged through the mud (there are many) plus all their family associations and praise for very crude rap musicians to be constantly harped on in the media. "Don't throw rocks at glass houses when you live in one."
