If you knew and were told that crossing the border with your children, that you'd be arrested and children placed in State Care. Would you endanger your family?

But this is not an extreme, we know what Obama's policy was, we knew what he did and he didn't do what Trump has been doing. Government has limited resources, Obama sent 21% of those crossing the border for prosecutions while keeping the families together while they were being processed - Trump on the other hand raised the % to 100 while tearing them apart while you MAGA crowd lie about what Obama did. Facts are facts, it has no extremes.

To me letting them in pending an asylum hearing is a non starter.
We should either make them seek asylum before they get here or just let everyone in.

For global warming reasons I think we should help them in their home country in order to keep their carbon footprints at 1 tenth the size they would be here.

They may not know about the policy, maybe they didn't believe the policy (I had a hard time doing so when first announced), or maybe the alternative back home is so dire that they're willing to chance it.

Regardless of how you feel about Obama's efforts with Immegration, half the Country saw it as a failure. Tis' obvious from the problems it has caused. We cannot keep flooding our borders, something has to change. Regardless of who it is, the left just wants to pin it on Trump for political reasons, the person who finally says enough is enough, and shuts down the free stuff will always be seen by those on the receiving end in a negative light.

No one wants to address the fact that all those asylum seekers were told exactly what was going to happen but still choose to enter.

We need to help these people in their own countries not bring them here.

I believe that chart is off by at least a factor of 2 probably closer to a factor of 3 or 4.

Plus a great deal of that "stabilization" was due to the economy and had nothing to do with Obama's immigration policies.

Anyone who drove by Home Depots in San Diego the last 15 years... knows the amount of guys looking for day jobs... was steadily increasing... and then significantly contracted... and now.. I think I am seeing a few more guys looking to get hired... but it is not back to all time highs.
