Health insurance providers are throwing some cold water on the Obama administration’s crowing about Obamacare enrollment. The insurance companies are saying they have no record of many of the supposed “enrollees” from the Obamacare website.

from ABC:

Bob Shlora of Alpharetta, Ga., was supposed to be a belated Obamacare success story. After weeks of trying, the 61-year-old told ABC News he fully enrolled in a new health insurance plan through the federal marketplace over the weekend, and received a Humana policy ID number to prove it.

But two days later, his insurer has no record of the transaction, Shlora said, even though his account on the government website indicates that he has a plan.

“I feel like this: My application was taken … by a bureaucrat, it was put on a conveyor belt and it’s still going around, and it’s never going to leave the building,” he said. “I’ve lost hope. If it happens, great.”

Obama administration officials acknowledged today that some of the roughly 126,000 Americans who completed the torturous online enrollment process in October and November might not be officially signed up with their selected issuer, even if the website has told them they are.

Technical problems surrounding the transfer of an applicant’s personal information from the federal marketplace to the selected insurance company have plagued the system since its launch, making it difficult for insurers to finalize some enrollments. The 834 forms that issuers receive from the system have been riddled with errors, including often duplicate or incomplete information....

As news breaks that enrollment has surpassed one million, it turns out one of Obamacare's fiercest critics is among Republicans showing some "secret love" for the law.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) signed his family up on the federal healthcare exchange and has opted to take a federal subsidy offered to lawmakers and staff, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

"Senator Rubio spent time looking at all the options and decided to enroll through the D.C. exchange for coverage for him and his family," Rubio's spokeswoman Brooke Sammon told the Times, adding that "Senator Rubio is following the law, even though he opposes it."

The Washington Post notes that Rubio's fellow 2016 GOP presidential prospects Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) have also joined the D.C. exchange.

Rubio has previously tried to kill Obamacare, even declining last March to support a stopgap bill to fund the government unless it also defunded "this Obamacare bill that is going to be an absolute disaster for the American economy.

Would you mind showing me the source of the data that states there have been over a million enrollments? I'd like to see how many of those are medicaid.

edit: nevermind! LOL...only 365,000 people enrolled in private health insurance.

ONE MILLION? I think NOT. Only 364,682 people have enrolled in Obamacare.

Congressional House Representatives and Senators MUST sign-up for Obamacare as per the law. This is not being done because the Republican opposers have a "secret love" of the law. What an absurd statement.

What is even more absurd is that the political clowns all earn $174,000 or more - and they get a special government subsidy that makes the ACA insurance effectively FREE for them.

Most will sign-up in DC because that is where most spend most of their year, and the doctors local to DC will be in-network.

"New sign-up numbers Wednesday showed...

The Health and Human Services Department reported that 364,682 people had signed up for private coverage under the law as of Nov. 30. That is more than three times the October figure but still less than one-third of the 1.2 million that officials had projected would enroll nationwide by the end of November."

Obamacare's Website Won't Be Working By November 30 -- But What If It Isn't Working By November 2014?
http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapot...nt-working-by-november-2014/?partner=yahootix

When President Obama appointed Jeffrey Zients to take over the troubled Healthcare.gov Obamacare website, Zients made a promise: “By the end of November, Healthcare.gov will work smoothly for the vast majority of users,” he said. We’re now at the end of November, and it’s pretty clear that the Obama administration will miss its self-imposed deadline. It’ll be tomorrow’s talking point for the GOP. But the question that matters most this year is not whether Obamacare is working by this November. It’s whether Obamacare is working by next November. If it’s not, Republicans may regain control of the Senate. So, let’s take a clear-eyed look at how Obamacare is likely to play out over the next twelve months

(more at above url)

There is a struggle between the the main body of the Democrats and the main body of the Republicans. The Democrats are engaged in an attempt to bring health care to as many in the U.S. as they can. No matter how inept their attempt, how right, how wrong, it is certainly well intentioned.

The Republicans are attempting to ruin the Democrats effort and make them look like fools. The Democrats played into the hands of their executioners by foolishly thinking that the Republicans would go along with them if only they adopted a more Republican approach.

The problem, from a Democrat's perspective, was too many financially ruined, too many lying sick and dying without access to health care. The Republicans, ever aware of the frailties of human nature, all except their own, saw instead increased profits; your loss is my gain. If you are too inept, too lazy, too poor, too stupid, and make too many bad choices, than you are not deserving.

The Republicans used a Democrat to kill the public option, used the Court to kill expansion of medicaid, and didn't even have to lift a finger to save the McCarran Ferguson Act. The Republicans did all this with the worst of human intentions, but nevertheless, in stark recognition of our real nature.

Now we are engaged in round four. Will the Democrats salvage enough from their gutted attempt to bring health care to millions more and make the Republicans look like selfish, greedy fools. Or will the Republicans prevail and and bring this misguided attempt to reverse Darwin to its inevitable, miserable failure. To the fit go the spoils. Why should I lift a finger to help you, you lazy bum. Help yourself first. Prove to me you are worthy by getting a minimum wage job and working up the ladder. It is a tough world. Don't expect handouts. No one is entitled to health care . You have to earn it. I've got it. Now, go get it yourself.

The score after three rounds stands at: Democrats = 2 ; Republicans = 2 ; American citizens = 0. American Medical Cartel = 3.

it's easy to be well intentioned when you have no idea how much things cost and who is going to pay for them.

you will always look mean when you are constantly complaining about price
