it's like 2008 all over again, S&P 500 -7.52% YTD

Man...today's a dream day for traders, much more for options traders. :wtf:
i try to remain calm, but i experience shortness of breath and trembling hands sometimes :p

I don't think it's exactly like 2008.

I would say a blend: 80% like the dot com bubble and 20% like the beginnings of the credit crisis of 2007/2008.

On a valuation basis the stock market is definitely getting rich. Not at the levels of 2000 but still ripe for reversion:

All it takes is a jolt from a catalyst and things could begin to cascade. Question is what will the catalyst be? Commodities crashing further? A full on liquidity crisis or credit currency collapse in China? That could be compared to the 1997 Asian Tigers crisis times 100.

I've recently started reading a book which called "Business adventures", and a first chapter there is about stock market panic in 1950's, I highly recommend you to read it. The situation in 50's imo is more similar to the current.
