That surge then drop looks familiar.
It'll be interesting to learn if for a longer term analysis, say 3 months of a 5-10 minute chart, your system mimics experience here where an initial surge/ increase in equity curve often is followed by a drawdown followed by continued surge/ increase plateau series. There's often that preliminary gut-check on a manually operated mechanical system. Have fun and do your thing man. Look forward to what you develop.
