Iterative Refinement

Quote from romanus:

As much as I'd like to, I can't explain the hiccup @ 1350 without a lateral beginning @ 1320.

I determined this was a FFT that retraced and then formed an OB and Pt3 up. The Pt2 of the FFT just didn't land near its usual place.

While I am unable to find the clues in tapes and gaussians alone (leaving out the p2 to p3 lateral, which is another vocabulary word:D) as to why the sequence was not completed at 1350, the item which may require differentiation could be the location of green and blue point 3 in relationship to the pink down traverse RTL. Could be something worthwhile to pay attention to - gonna do some digging in past charts.

You're on the wrong path .. Here there are several fractals at work. If you trade spydertrader's 5 min look at my "--" chart; if you trade faster look at my "-" chart. The pink RTL was just a factor in the market taking a breather .. :)

Romanus,

While this could be crack for a recovering lateral addict, I was seeing it this way. Though I have to say I'm partial to Chart's version.
Your point is valid and normally would be sufficient to determine that @1350 we haven't finished moving p2 to p3. However, there may be another way of knowing. My gut is telling me that it's a real possibility.

I looked at both of your pics - your gaussians and trendlines don't seem to follow any convention that would make sense to me. I am not saying that they are wrong - just that I am unable to discern any useful data from them which would indicate that the sequence was not completed at 1350 ( the market hasn't finished moving p2 to p3).

.. you have a return to dominance on that bar (if you ignore Ezzy's lateral traverse), but you don't have a signal of change to reverse short.. I also see pace acceleration (long) at 1335.

I see it as a completed sequence (but without soc), then it's rtl gets broken on decreasing volume, so you must fan out.
