Iterative Refinement

... arguably, your exit would've been a pretty safe entry (after establishing dominance) ... you entered on an end of sequence / change signal ... your plan should've been to exit on pt2 and re-renter on pt3, or hold through pt2 to pt3 ... what made you think your original plan wasn't valid anymore? what "wasn't that"? ... probably you jumped to a faster fractal, or got scared

That's usually the plan.

I like to avoid those for now.

... or hold through pt2 to pt3 .
Those usually work fine unless there's no p3, in which case they don't.

YM 1434 ibv followed by dbv on 1436 prior to breaking one of the RTL's.

Have not been able to define this concept rigorously, so it doesn't hold much meaning to me unfortunately.

Quote from charts:

...or got scared
I am always scared, and so should you. jk:D

I know exactly what you mean, and would strongly recommend that you revert to using just the ES chart.

It was only when I did this that I realized how much there was that I wasn't seeing clearly.

I think a reasonable target would be to stick to just the ES until consistently exceeding the ATR, and only move on to additional tools when further refinement is needed.
