Iterative Refinement

Hey guava, this is what I see there.

Tiki,

Thanks for the response.

In my opinion the 14:30 and 14:35 were not dominant. If they were than it seems the :50 bar that I described would have been a legitimate SOC, but it was actually a Pt2. The :55 to 15:05 bars proved to be the non dom in the sequence (as you noted).

However, being that the 14:30 and :35 bars closed outside a lateral 14:05 to 14:25) w/ the 14:30 on IBV, they appeared to meet the criteria of "dominance".

Still confused in Reno...

The only reason I can come up with and the one I used in real time is that we had a jump in pace telling we were expecting another non-dom move

perhaps :)

That lateral was ended by the sequence completion and a signal to change long .. jokari ... :)

How do you define it as a lateral? It does not have 2 closes inside the start bar.

I am open to new ideas, but this has never been mentioned in this or the previous journal.

Ok here's my theory. I real time I was very confident that 14:50 [close of] was change. Very confident. When market created the real Pt3, my first theory was that 14:25 [close of] is non-dominant because it was inside the lateral and 14:30 [close of] is non-dom because of Lateral BO. Then 14:45 [close of] is the first dominant bar in pt1 to pt2 path.

However after seeing Spydertrader's chart, where lateral was killed when one sequence ended and another began - I think I finally figured out.

SoC -> Non-dom Up-> Dom Up ->Pt2

SoC = 14:25 and 14:30 [close of] - Price moving in the non-dominant direction (after previously moving dominant) on increasing Volume.

Non-dom Up = 14:35 and 14:40 [close of]

Dom Up = 14:45 [close of]

QED

Comments welcome.

IMHO, This is a wonderful example of the fractal nature and sequencing at work. Need to train my mind to see this in realtime.

Thanks for sharing

I could use some help in understanding how today's 14:50 bar was not a traverse level signal of change

The answer is:

"Because the market had yet to arrive at Point Two, and therefore, had not yet given permission to seek change." Something must indicate this is the case, and it must do so in real time, but what it that something?

You have a copy of my chart. Start with what you do not see.

Hint: There is not a lateral involved here.

First bar in Down mode is 1450 ... so no non-dom Down move up to that point ... But in real-time I also thought I had a "challenged" lateral ... :)
