Iterative Refinement

Quote from ticktrade:

... I find very few signals of change that follow a higher gaussian peak.
That's pretty cool - I wasn't paying attention to that.
I also noticed that quite often the first dominant traverse of the channel does not provide a change signal before building a non-dom traverse, be it point three or a lateral.

If one were using the ym the 1208-1210 bars had back to back irv out of the pennant. They did not clear the lateral but that should have at least made one think twice about holding long there.
My back up PC internal clock was not synchronized with globes and running approx 1 min behind. Take a look at what it built for 12:03 [close of] YM bar:D

for comparison
Yep, that third red bar on increasing red is not what suppose to come next after the flaw on YM. So a retrace must follow on ES. And it did. QED

:D Those are some very harsh words. Nobody had ever accused me of being intelligent before.:D

I found the post of icarus quite revealing and helpful. Aside from the sobering realization that I'm neither operational nor intellectual type.:D On a more serious note I understand that the biggest problem I have to overcome, is to accept, that I do not really need to be certain all of the time to turn the corner.

The part about people "dropping off the thread" is a generalization, and not an accurate one.

:D Not including Mr. Black with "intellectual types" - some people would be offended.
:D The "incompetent people" part was probably inspired by my long, 5 paragraph "thinking out loud" response to phineas j. w. I have been called worse than that, so that's not a problem.:D

On a more serious note, what I found extremely revealing and helpful are the older chat room transcripts, beginning with the end of '06 through mid '07.

This is where one can find the right way to wash, the flaws, etc. and how people were learning to trade from Spydertrader in real time. Pure gold. I recommend highly. Some of my biggest AHA!'s came from reading those. Pulling up the corresponding Spydertrader charts for those days and going through the transcripts - that's when I started finally turning the corner.

P.S. Jan 31 and Feb 1 of this year - transcripts were cleaned up and posted by Tums on the same or next day. Pull up ES and YM when you're reading those. Multiple epiphanies are guaranteed.

Thanks, Romanus. Much appreciated.

I found that one does not even need the finer tools to wash the entries on the flaws, just the YM. The whole thing is just so amazingly beautiful. Oh, and surprisingly simple as well.

Quote from icarus618:

Are you trading live yet? Just curious.

I guess you are not asking me, but I'll answer anyway.:D Yes I'm trading live and still providing the pool with my losses. The good news is they get smaller. At the same time the number of trades I'm able to execute goes up.:)
