Remember, you need the same sequences for both dominant and non-dominant traverses. Keep in mind when a B2B (or R2R) develops. When you 'see' the B2B, have the sequences reached the point where one would expect a B2B?
Also, your first traverse had no end, and as such, you cannot yet know if the lateral you see forming represents a retrace of a larger (wider) traverse (remember the signal to 'fan') or as you suggest, a LTR Traverse.
We have yet to complete a down traverse as we have yet to have an end. Therefore, we can only be in the process of forming a Traverse still to this point. again, on this fractal only.

Or traverses within this fractal discussed? Again this is nomentclature which I am trying to sort out in my mind.

Quote from Spydertrader:
Therefore, since we still need to locate an end to a down Traverse, this Lateral can only be a Retrace of a yet to be completed Traverse.

Correct, but more accurately. No signal for change existed to form the FTT on this fractal.

Quote from jbarnby:
Since the down traverse had no end, any trades (other than to hold) would represent jumping fractals....or trading tapes within the one traverse.
Quote from Spydertrader:
What you 'see' here is Intra-Fractal Movements (I just made up that term) which correspond to actual traverses on smaller fractals (For example, The YM provides a signal for change (10:26) creating the signal for change needed on the 10:30 ES bar, and as a result transforming this (10:30) bar into a New Point One of a soon to be confirmed up traverse).
However, for those only using the ES, no such signal exists. As a result, the trader, wanting to stay on the same trading fractal needs to hold.
