Iterative Refinement

I've reread your post.

For some reason, I FEEL that somewhere, I don't know where, there is something which would help people to get the light bulb instantly.

After all, this is the refinement thread, right?

Try learning to anticipate the BO of the Laterals, rather than, attempting to trade within them. In other words, 'see' the right side of the market, in the bigger picture, instead of, bar to bar, when you 'see' laterals forming.

Having said that, any day where one walks away profitiable is a pretty good day. :D Nicely done.

Thanks for the advice. I see very clearly the opportunities at the borders of the laterals. I see quickly when a true bo takes place and I also see the fbo's that mean "anticipate change" as well as the ones that say "wait a little longer".

However, because of the overlap of the laterals I wasn't even sure where I was and where the borders were at that moment. Then I lost it for a little while.

Ivo

Todd, I appreciate you quoting me, but for me it is simply mind blowing if someone with the basic paradigm presented by you can NOT manage to reach over 12-20 points a day, consistently.

I feel it's like a duty to help those people, if you would like me to refrain from posting like that, by all means say so and I will stick to your paradigm.

:) If I visualize, and put myself into the place of others (the incompetents), I, for some reason feel where they struggle. So just tell me how you would like me to communicate with others in your thread.

It comes to my understanding that words written in a forum can get a completely different interpretation, so If I write things down, which seem odd, please say to me.
The English language is FAR from my mother language

It's nice to have a conversation with you, Todd. Again, if you would like me to help people on a certain subject, please say so.

While I understand English isn't your primary language for communication, might I suggest you refrain from describing those, less enlightened than yourself, as 'incompetents.' By all means, feel free to post your observations and experiences in a manner you feel might help those still striving toward profitiability. However, contributing in a less abrasive fashion might engender those who, after reading several of your initial posts, may feel somewhat alienated by your comments. After all, "You get more bees with honey, than with vinegar."

Always try to keep in mind that people cannot 'see' through your eyes. As such, contributions made, in written form, need to paint a picture visable by all - and not just the artist. Even under such ideal conditions, every painting becomes open to the interpretation of the viewer. This simply is the way the world works in a two dimensional learning environment.

Some 'see' the vision, while others, do not. If you want people to 'see' your vision, paint a picture they can 'see.'

Good trading to you.

Skill improvement drill - The day revealed.

This is the entire day of the drill.
The date is March 13 2008.
The time is from 2:30pm to 4 pm.

Keep in mind that the drill had only given so much data to work with.

All annotations on the chart are a result of what was known at the time of the drill with the data provided.

In the complete context of the day, the channels would have been annotated with all known data.

Great work everyone and thank you.

This evening was a terrific learning experience for me. Extremely grateful to Spydertrader and everybody else who contributed.

Agreed. As an "incompetent" (ROFLMAO) it will take some time for me to internalize everything posted today. Looking forward to the weekend. Have a good one, everybody.
